Kristin Bethge is a portrait and documentary photographer based in Rio de Janeiro and Berlin.
She works with bright color compositions, light, contrasts and the interplay of form and color. Kristin open-heartedly immerses in her manifold surroundings, delving into the stories of the individuals she meets. She collects moments and manages to capture the complex layers unfolding within them - often it is the small inconspicuous details that fascinate her.
Since 2013 Kristin has been working in Brazil. Her reportages have taken her to the Amazon, Minas Gerais, Tocantins and many other Brazilian states.
