Maria Sturm, born in 1985 in Ploiești, Romania, is a photographer known for her personal projects and commissions for publications like Wall Street Journal and ZEIT Magazin. She is affiliated with the artists collective Apparat and co-organizes the Alte Liebe Rostet Nicht music festival near Berlin. Her work, including "You don’t look Native to me" and "For Birds’ Sake" in collaboration with Cemre Yesil, has won numerous awards and been exhibited internationally. Maria has also worked as a freelance producer for Vice and at studios like Milk Studios and Creative Exchange Agency in New York.
