Aleksandra Mihajlović (SHTROXY, b.1983) is a visual artist based in Belgrade. She works primarily with photography, occasionally expanding into video and installation. She is a member of the Belgrade Raw photography collective. Her interest in photography began during the 1990s in Serbia, a period shaped by sanctions, scarcity, and political turbulence. Back then, the camera felt like a small portal to something magical in an otherwise heavy reality. She works intuitively, using minimal gestures to disrupt balance and invite ambiguity. Her images often hover between intimacy and distance, involving strangers in almost choreographed stillness. In addition to her artistic practice, she works as an art director on films and commercials.
