André Viking is a Danish visual artist currently living and working in Copenhagen, Denmark. After graduating from Copenhagen Film and Photography School, he completed the Creative Practices Program at The International Center of Photography. In his current practice, he uses photography’s authority as a tool to investigate and challenge our idea of a singular reality.
His work has been included in exhibitions worldwide, including Zeitgeist at Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center in Budapest, Hungary; Filter Photo Festival at Filter Space, Chicago, US; and Young Danish Photography at Centre of Photography in Copenhagen, Denmark. His work can also be found in print, in publications including Mercuria Magazine, The Eyes Magazine and Der Greif. These various forms of exposure have allowed his work to have a voice in the contemporary critical dialog of his medium, while he continues his practice.
